What it is, and why it matters.
Natural stone is never the same twice. Each piece has its own color, grain and shape, and a mason has to read the stones as they are laid, turning and fitting them so the joints look natural and the wall stays strong.
We build natural stone walls, entries, columns and landscape features for homes in Nashville and across Middle Tennessee. Middle Tennessee's own limestone and fieldstone are favorites, and we also set stone from other regions.
Four things done right.
Stone chosen by hand
We pick and sort the stone so the color and size fit the design.
Fit before mortar
Each stone is turned and fit so joints are tight and the pattern looks natural.
A sound base
A compacted base or footing keeps the work from settling.
Joints that last
Mortar is packed and tooled to match the stone and shed water.

Natural Stone Masonry: common questions
What kinds of natural stone do you use?
Limestone and fieldstone are common in Middle Tennessee, and we also use sandstone, river rock and other stones. We bring samples so you can see the color and texture in your own yard.
Is natural stone more expensive than brick?
It often costs more, because stone is heavier, takes longer to fit and varies from piece to piece. The written estimate shows exactly where the money goes.
How do I get a price for natural stone masonry?
Fill in the form or call or text 615-431-3789. We confirm what is involved and send a written price, and most projects start with a free visit.
Ready to talk about natural stone masonry?
A visit and a written price. A real person calls back, usually the same day.
