How we work

Six courses, one finished wall.

A masonry project goes from the first call to the first evening you enjoy it in six courses. Here is exactly what happens, in order, and what you can prepare before and after.

The six courses

Follow the project.

Course 1 of 6

  1. 01

Call, text or send the form

Tell us what is going on and what you are hoping for. A real person responds, usually the same day, and photos help us prepare.

  2. 02

    We visit and measure

We walk the property, look at the masonry, measure the work and talk through drainage, access and what you want it to look like.

  3. 03

Choose the materials and the plan

You see brick, stone and mortar samples and a written estimate with the scope, the options and the price before any work begins.

  4. 04

    Build it course by course

Footings, base and layout come first. Then the masonry goes up in careful courses, with flashing, ties, drainage and clean tooled joints.

  5. 05

    Inspect and clean up

We check lines, joints, flashing and drainage, clean the masonry, haul away debris and walk the finished work with you.

  6. 06

Enjoy it, and stay in touch

We explain how to care for the work, answer questions after the job and stay available for the seasonal checks a good wall deserves.

Before the visit

Your site checklist.

  • Take photos of the wall, chimney or area from a few steps back and up close
  • Note what you see: cracks, soft mortar, stains, damp spots, loose pieces or standing water
  • Find the property lines, sprinklers, utilities and any HOA rules
  • Think about how you use the space and what you want it to look like
  • Clear a path to the work area and move cars and furniture away

Good questions

Process questions

Are your estimates free?

Yes. Estimates are free and come in writing with the scope, the materials, the options and the price. Fill in the form on any page, or call or text 615-431-3789, and we will set up a visit or review your photos.

How long does a typical project take?

A mailbox or a small repair can be done in a day or two. A patio, a chimney rebuild or a retaining wall often takes several days to a couple of weeks, and a large addition or outdoor kitchen can take longer. You get the schedule before work starts.

How should I prepare for the visit or the work?

Clear a path to the work area, move vehicles and furniture away from the walls and tell us about utilities, sprinklers or underground lines. For larger projects we walk you through the schedule and protect the landscaping.

How do I get started?

Fill in the form on any page, call or text 615-431-3789, or send photos of the area. We confirm the plan and schedule a visit, and estimates are free.

Start with the easy part.

Call, text or fill in the form. We look, measure and price before any paid work begins.

Free estimate

Let's look at your project.

Tell us what you have or what you want: a wall that is crumbling, a chimney that leaks, a patio, a fireplace, a retaining wall or a commercial building. A real person reads every message and calls back, usually the same day, with straight answers and a written estimate.

  • A visit first: we measure the work, look at the walls, the footing and the drainage and see what is there now
  • Honest advice on repair or rebuild, the right materials and the right details for the way you live
  • A written price with the materials, the base, the extras and the cleanup spelled out
